David Vasquez is the Director of International IoT Business Development at Verizon Enterprise Solutions.

He brings over a decade of experience in wireless networks, sales, marketing, data acquisition strategy, customer experience, energy management and digital innovation with a focus on wearables, sports apparel and digital media consumption. Along with enterprise business and partner ecosystem development, David’s responsibilities include evangelizing IoT’s socio-economic benefits, it’s implications and what the Verizon brand is doing in terms of enablement, investments and innovation.

David invests a lot of time educating clients regarding the immediate impact that an outcome-based, digital experience strategy brings via IoT. His favorite topics to address are the designing of a data-driven, digital customer experience, the monetization of new services and the enablement that item-level-track & trace capabilities brings to use cases like “farm to fork” in agriculture or “traceability” to any supply chain.

Prior to his current position, David spent several years supporting public utilities (water, waste water & energy) and government agencies in implementing M2M/IoT solutions to drive water and power conservation, safety, security and positive citizen engagement. In close partnership with key advocacy groups, he led several public/private collaboration sessions that brought agencies, technology partners and citizens together to drive conservation KPIs that were made possible by embracing IoT.

David celebrated his 16th anniversary at Verizon this past March and is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He lives with his wife, two daughters and 0 pets.
